Southeast Missouri Hospital's Radiation Oncology team has more than 140 years of combined experience in treating cancer. Patients at the Regional Cancer Center can be assured they are receiving quality care from a highly qualified and credentialed staff of physicians and other clinical specialists.
Southeast’s staff has received extensive training on the Novalis system, much of it under the guidance of Timothy Solberg, Ph.D., who was responsible for installation of the world's first Novalis system at UCLA in 1997.

| Joseph P. Miller, MD , has been Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Southeast Missouri Hospital since 1990. He holds a B.S. degree from the University of Kentucky and a mater's degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Kentucky College of Allied Health. Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville , KY. He holds Board Certification in Radiation Oncology. |

Trent Mullis, BS, RT(T), Radiation Oncology Director, has worked in the field of Radiation Oncology for 15 years, including eight years of my experience in Radiation Oncology Management. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Radiation Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C.

| Samuel Hancock, PhD, ABR, ABMP, has more than 30 years' experience in medical physics, with double Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Medical Physics. He holds a master's degree from M.D. Anderson in Houston , TX , and a doctoral degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo . He did dissertation research at Mallinckrodt, a division of Washington University , St. Louis , and has received extensive Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy training. |

Nicholas Schupp, MS, Medical Physicist, completed a Master's Degree in Nuclear Engingeering at the University of Missouri – Columbia. He holds a B.S. degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla. Schupp has completed specialized training in Medical Physics at M.D. Anderson in Houston, TX, and has trained in Stereotactic Radiosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. |

| Mark Mayhew, BS, RT(R)(T)CMD, is a board certified Medical Dosimetrist. Mayhew is a member of the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists (AAMD), ARRT, and MDCB. He completed the Dosimetry program at Barnes Jewish Christian Hospital, in conjunction with Washington University in St. Louis, MO. |

Crystal Malugen, RT(T)(R), serves as the lead Radiation Therapist at the Novalis Center within the Regional Cancer Center . Malugen holds an associate degree from Shawnee Community College , Ullin , IL , and a B.S. degree in Radiologic Technology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale . She is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. |
